Up and Running
Create a Flutter project with the BowlerKit CLI and choose its Account or Guest profile.
Read the prerequisites first. The CLI assembles a licensed project; do not clone the private BowlerKit source repository.
Create a project
bowler create my-flutter-appChoose Flutter, then select:
- Account — authentication, cloud data, Laravel admin panel, and Go API backend.
- Guest — local-first runtime without account services.
The CLI validates the Polar license, downloads the configured archive, initializes Git, and can run dependency installation for the generated folders.
First mobile run
cd my-flutter-app/mobile-app
flutter pub get
dart run build_runner build --delete-conflicting-outputs
flutter runEdit lib/config/app_env.dart (apiBaseUrl default) or pass --dart-define=API_BASE_URL=<host> for an Account project's API host. Endpoints.buildApiPath appends /api/v1, so the host root must not include it. Guest projects do not need an API URL.
Profile differences
Account
Configure and migrate admin-panel/ first, then point API_BASE_URL at the reachable Laravel/gateway host. Start Go only after Laravel is working and the shared database is ready. See Backends and Quick Start.
Guest
No PHP, database, Redis, or Go service is required. Runtime gates disable account API work, remote preference/notification synchronization, FCM token registration, and server entitlement checks while retaining local settings, local notifications, Paywall/RevenueCat, and AdMob. Optional cleanup guidance is generated at docs/AI-GUEST-CLEANUP.md.
Toolchain check
bowler doctor flutterFor command details, see the CLI guide.
